S & S Engineering Works

S & S Engineering Works is situated at No. 75/5 on Mata Road in Rajeev Nagar. We are right across from the Bhardwaj Market. It’s a handy spot because if we need something small, we can just run across the road. Our workshop is usually noisy because of the machines running. We do a lot of heavy lifting and manual work. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. Most of us are covered in grease by lunch. We’ve been in Rajeev Nagar for quite a while now. We know the other shop owners on Mata Road pretty well. We don't go for fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people hear about us from someone else who had work done here. We just try to be fair and get the jobs finished when we say we will. Sometimes parts are delayed or a machine breaks down, which is frustrating, but we deal with it. It’s just a normal engineering shop. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to do work and make enough to keep the lights on and the families fed. If you see the Bhardwaj Market, you’re basically there. Just look for our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun, but it’s still there. We keep at it every day, Monday through Saturday. It's a living and we just keep doing the same thing.
