Pratap Engineering Works

Pratap Engineering Works is located at Plot No 15 in Shiv Colony, over in Sector 22. This area is a bit of a mix, where you have houses on one side and small workshops like ours on the other. It makes for a weird atmosphere sometimes, with kids playing in the street while we’re busy grinding metal or welding. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. There’s a certain smell to the place—mostly grease and old iron—that never really goes away. We’ve been here in Sector 22 for quite a few years now. The neighbors know us by the sound of our machines. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot, and we usually wrap things up when it starts to get dark. There isn't a front office or a receptionist; you just walk in through the main gate and find whoever is available. We don't use a lot of fancy technology for our day-to-day management. It’s mostly just notebooks and pens and a lot of memory. The floor is always covered in scraps, and we try to sweep up at the end of the week, but it never stays clean for long. It’s just a small-scale operation where we take on whatever engineering jobs come our way from the local area. It’s a decent way to make a living.
