Orient Craft

Our place is over at 342/9 in Gurgaon. If you know this part of Haryana, you know it's gotten really crowded lately with all the new buildings. We’ve been operating Orient Craft from this spot for some time now. It's mostly just rows of tables and people working on different pieces. It’s not the quietest building because of all the activity around us and the noise from the street. We deal with a lot of textiles every single day. The morning starts early here before the heat gets too bad in the afternoon. We have a regular group of people who’ve been with us for years. They know the routine and don't need much direction. We don't do much advertising or fancy talk; the work just comes in through word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just how it is in this area. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy for that kind of thing. We focus on the orders we have on the table. It’s a practical setup for what we do. We make sure the shipments are packed right so nothing gets ruined. The street outside is narrow, so the delivery trucks have a hard time sometimes. But we manage to get things moved. It’s a decent place to work if you don't mind the noise. We keep things simple and don't try to be anything we aren't.
