Koutons

Koutons is sitting at Shop No 120 over in Hari Nagar Aashram. We are right near the Nafed building on Mathura Road, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. The traffic on Mathura Road can be a real headache, but once you get inside the shop, it’s a lot quieter. We’ve been here for quite a few years now. The shop is filled with all sorts of men’s wear, from stuff you’d wear to an office to more casual weekend clothes. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just have racks of clothes and some changing rooms in the back. Usually, the radio is playing softly in the background while we fold shirts or help a customer find their size. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and keeping the hangers straight, but we don’t mind it. People stop by on their way home or during their lunch breaks. We know the area well and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we’re still here at number 120. It isn’t a glitzy mall experience, just a straightforward store where you can buy a decent pair of pants or a shirt without any fuss. We keep it real and focus on the folks who come in. Sometimes the floor is a bit dusty from the street outside, but that's just how it is here. It’s a plain, honest shop.
