Our office is currently situated at Mr. Raj Pal Thakran’s place in Islampur, Gurgaon. Being in the 122002 area, we are right where the old parts of Gurgaon meet the new developments. Jindal Group has been operating from this location for a while, and it is a very grounded setup. We don't have a glass building or a high-tech entrance. It is more of a traditional space where we sit on sturdy chairs and manage our daily business. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains, and the dust is a constant battle during the dry months. We have a simple desk for the accounts and a couple of benches for people who come to visit. We know Mr. Thakran well, and the whole setup feels very local and personal. Most of our day is spent dealing with the local logistics and making sure the workers have what they need. We take a long break in the afternoon when the sun is at its peak. There is a small tea stall just around the corner that we visit at least three times a day. We don't use many complicated systems; we just keep our notes in registers and talk to people face-to-face as much as possible. It is a quiet way to run a group, but it works for us in Haryana. We keep moving forward without any drama or unnecessary expenses.
