Jaya Engineering is found out at the 69 Km Stone in Malpura, near Dharuhera. It’s an industrial sort of place, so don't expect any fancy decorations. There’s a lot of metal lying around and the smell of oil and grease is pretty much stuck in the walls. We’ve got some old machines that make a lot of noise when they’re running. It’s a dusty spot, being right near the highway like that. We spend most of our time in greasy overalls, working on whatever parts need fixing or making. The floor is concrete and usually has a few stains on it. It’s a hard kind of work, but it’s what we know. The sun can be brutal out here in Malpura, making the metal hot to the touch in the afternoons. We have a small area where we sit down for lunch, usually just some tea and whatever we brought from home. We don't have many visitors who aren't here for work. Most of the people we see are truck drivers or other guys from the nearby factories. It’s a bit isolated being at the 69 Km Stone, but it gives us plenty of room to work. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just trying to do the engineering work right so things don't break. It’s a quiet life when the machines aren't humming. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way every day.
