Our office, Ireo Management Advisors India Pvt. Ltd., is on the 3rd floor of Tower ‘A’. We are located in DLF Cyber City, which is part of DLF-II. It’s a busy place with a lot of glass buildings and people rushing around in ties. We spend our days mostly at desks or in small meeting rooms. There is always a lot of paper and screens glowing. It’s not a factory, but it feels just as busy in a different way. The elevators can take forever during the lunch hour. We handle the management side of things here. It involves a lot of talking on the phone and looking at spreadsheets. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks. We’ve been in this tower for a while. You get a view of the other buildings from the windows, but we don't look out much. It is mostly about keeping the advisors on track and making sure the paperwork is sorted. Cyber City is a fast-paced environment. There are cafes downstairs where we grab coffee when the day gets long. We don't do anything flashy. It's just a lot of coordinating and planning from this floor. Sometimes the printer jams when we have a big report due, which is always annoying. We just try to get the work done before the commute home starts. It's a lot of brain work and sitting.
