Hotel Samrat

Hotel Samrat is located on the 4th floor of Apna Bazar in Gurgaon. It’s an older building in the H.O. area, and being on the fourth floor means you get a bit of a view of the market below, even if it’s just roofs and signs. The area is always packed with shoppers and small vendors. Finding the entrance to the hotel through the market can be a little tricky the first time, but most people just ask around. Since we are in Apna Bazar, everything you could need is right there downstairs. The rooms are straightforward, no extra frills or fancy gadgets. We get a lot of people who are in Gurgaon for small business deals or just passing through the NCR. The elevator works most of the time, but some people prefer the stairs if they aren't carrying much. It’s a bit of a noisy location because the market is so active, but it's very central. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of guys to help with the bags and the cleaning. The walls might need a fresh coat of paint soon, and the furniture is the traditional wooden kind. It’s a lived-in place that serves its purpose for budget travelers. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the shopkeepers in the building. It is a plain, functional place to stay in a busy market.
