If you head down to the Rajaji Nagar Industrial Estate, you’ll find us at C-16. It’s a large area with a lot of different workshops and small factories. We’ve been here at Hindustan Tools & Components for quite some time now. The space is filled with metal parts, tools, and the smell of machine oil. It’s not a very clean environment, but that’s because we’re actually making things. We spend our days dealing with various components, some small and some quite heavy. Most of the time, our clothes have a bit of grease on them by the time we leave for the day. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a glossy website. People come to us because they know we have what they need or we can figure it out for them. It’s a lot of manual work and standing on your feet. The lighting inside isn't great, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes we have to hunt through the shelves for a specific part, but we usually find it eventually. The neighbors in the estate are good people, and we often help each other out with tools or advice. It’s a busy community. We’re just a small crew trying to keep things running. No big corporate meetings here, just us working at the benches and talking over the radio. We just get on with it and try to stay organized.
