Glassbird Clothing Private Limited operates out of the first floor at D-74 in The Palladians, which is over in Sector 50, Gurgaon. It’s a decent spot, though the stairs can be a bit of a pain when we’re carrying boxes of stock up and down. We’ve been at this for some time now, just trying to make clothes that look good and hold up well. It isn't a massive operation with hundreds of people; it’s more of a tight-knit group where everyone has to chip in on everything. Some days I’m checking the stitching, and other days I’m helping pack boxes for shipping. We don't really use big fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just clothing. We try to keep the designs straightforward so people can actually wear them without feeling like they’re trying too hard. Sector 50 is a good area to be in because it’s easy for our suppliers to get to us. We’ve had our fair share of mistakes, like ordering the wrong shade of fabric or miscounting an order, but we always fix it. It's just part of running a real business. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the work on the tables. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and the tea is usually cold by the time we drink it, but the work gets done. There are always stacks of cardboard boxes waiting to be picked up by the courier.
