Ganga Engineers

Ganga Engineers is just a small place tucked away in Gali No. 3 here in Arjun Nagar. If you walk down the lane past the corner shop, you’ll hear the sound of the machines running before you see us. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons when we have several things going at once, but that’s just how the workday goes. We started out with just a couple of old tools and a lot of floor space that felt way too big at the time. Now, 699/15 is pretty cramped with metal scraps and parts waiting to be worked on. Some days the dust is everywhere and the heat from the welding makes the shop feel like an oven, especially in June. We don’t have any fancy office or a receptionist sitting at a desk. Most of the time, someone is just leaning over a workbench or trying to fix a machine that’s acting up. Neighbors usually stop by just to say hello or ask if we can fix a small household thing, and we try to help out if the power is actually staying on that day. It isn't a glamorous setup by any means. There are grease stains on the floor that probably won’t ever come out and stacks of iron that have been there since last winter. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as it comes in. It’s a busy life in this part of town.
