You can find Bharat Press Tools over at Plot No 31 and 32 in Jeevan Nagar Gaunchhi. We’re right near Pal Public School, so you can hear the kids playing during their lunch break. It's a loud place, both from the school and our own machines. We work with metal and tools, so there's always a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. We’ve been here long enough that everyone in the neighborhood knows the sound of our presses. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes that have seen a few stains over the years. We have a small yard where we keep some of the heavier materials. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit of a mess, but we manage. We don't have a big website or a social media manager. Usually, if someone needs something, they just walk in or give us a call on the landline. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. The workshop is crowded because we have a lot of equipment squeezed into the space. It’s busy, and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three orders come in at once. We don't have a fancy board of directors. It’s just a few of us making sure the tools are right and the jobs get finished. It’s hard work and the days are long, but it’s what we know how to do.
