Balraj Homes Private Limited is run right out of Khetawas, near Farrukhnagar. If you know the area, it’s a quiet place where everyone kind of knows each other. We operate from the family home, under Balraj, who is Lakhpat’s son. It’s a real local setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the city. We’ve been living and working in this sub-division for a long time now. Most days are spent dealing with local housing stuff and just making sure things are moving along. It can get a bit dusty out here, and the internet isn’t always the fastest, but we make it work. We don’t really do big advertisements because word of mouth is usually enough around Farrukhnagar. People just drop by the house when they have a question about a project or some land. It’s a bit informal, maybe, but that’s how we like it. We handle the paperwork and the construction side of things as best as we can. My father used to say that a house is the biggest thing a person ever buys, so we try not to mess it up. We’re just regular people trying to build decent places for other regular people. Sometimes the dogs are barking in the background when we're on the phone, but that's just life in the village. If you’re heading towards Khetawas, you’ll probably find us easily enough. We don't have a receptionist, so you might have to shout for someone if we're in the back.
