Ajit Yadav

My name is Ajit Yadav and I live and work in the village of Gangaicha Ahir. It’s a small place in the Rewari district of Haryana. Our post office is over in Bikaner. Things move a bit slower out here than they do in the big cities. I like it that way. Most people around here are farmers or have small shops. I’ve got my setup right here in the village. It’s where my family has been for generations. We don’t have fancy office buildings. It’s just a room in the house where I keep my records and handle my business. You can see the fields from my window. In the winter, the morning fog is very thick. You can barely see the road. I start my day early, usually around sunrise. People from the village stop by to chat or ask for help with things. It’s a close-knit community. We all help each other out. Rewari is the main town we go to for bigger supplies. But Gangaicha Ahir is home. It’s a simple life. I don’t use a lot of technology, just what is necessary. My address is easy to find if you ask anyone in the village. They all know where the Yadav family stays. It’s a peaceful spot. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We just do our work and live our lives without any fuss. The days go by and we just keep at it because that is what humans do.
