Orient Textiles

You can find Orient Textiles over at H-112 Vikas Puri, specifically on the 1st floor. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you are there, you’ll see we use every bit of space we have. Vikas Puri is a lively neighborhood, and being on the first floor means we can hear everything going on in the street below. We work with all kinds of textiles here. It is mostly a lot of measuring, cutting, and sorting. The light comes in well through the windows in the morning, which helps when we are looking at the colors of the fabric. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us making sure things get done. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. Sometimes the room gets very crowded with rolls of cloth, and it feels a bit cramped, but we manage. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time, and we know the other businesses in the building. We often share a laugh with the delivery guys who have to haul things up the stairs. It is just a normal, everyday job for us. We try to keep things organized, but in a textile place, there’s always going to be some loose threads and scraps on the floor. It is just the way it goes when you work with fabric.
