The Watch Palace

The Watch Palace is located on the ground floor of Central Plaza right on Golf Course Road. It is a bit of a strange spot because the road connects up toward Palampur Road and Gurgaon, so we get a real mix of people coming through the doors. Some people are in a huge rush because they are working in the nearby offices, while others are just out for a walk and want to browse the glass cases. The shop has been here for a bit, and we try to keep it looking decent, though the floor gets scuffed up pretty fast with all the foot traffic. We spend a lot of time just looking at watches, changing out straps that have worn thin, or fixing pins that have popped out. It is a lot of sitting and focusing on very small things while the city moves fast outside the windows. We have different kinds of watches, some that are old-fashioned and some that look more modern, but they all need the same kind of care eventually. It is not a very loud shop, except for when the door opens and lets in the sound of the Gurgaon traffic. We usually have a bit of a chat with whoever comes in, maybe about how the road is getting more crowded every year. It is a steady kind of life here in Central Plaza, just looking after timepieces and making sure people can tell what time it is.
