Amana Literature is on the ground floor of B- 3/20 in DLF-1. It’s a relatively quiet spot compared to some of the busier commercial areas. We have a lot of books and papers stacked around the room, which gives the place a very particular atmosphere. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for what we do. The ground floor location is convenient because we don't have to carry heavy boxes of books up any stairs. We have a few desks where we sit and work on manuscripts or look over orders. The lighting is okay, but we often keep the door open to let in some fresh air from the DLF-1 street. There isn’t a lot of foot traffic here, so we get a lot of work done without many interruptions. Sometimes the neighbors pop their heads in to say hello. We have a small bookshelf near the entrance for the latest things we’ve been working on. Most of our day is spent reading, typing, or packing up literature to be sent out. It’s a bit messy at times, with papers everywhere and pens that always seem to run out of ink when you need them. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a peaceful place to work, tucked away in a residential-feeling part of the block. We’ve been here at B- 3/20 for a while and it suits us just fine. We just keep reading and writing.
