We spend most of our time at the U-36/59 building in DLF Phase-3, dealing with all the bits and pieces that keep the internet running for people around Gurgaon. It gets pretty busy here, especially with the way the city has grown over the last few years. Most of us have been working on these cables and servers for a while now. It isn't always flashy work. Sometimes it is just about making sure things don't go down when people need them most. We have a small office setup that's mostly filled with computers and some spare parts. People usually call us when they have a problem or need to get a new connection sorted out. It can be a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just try to stay focused on the tasks for the day. We don't really do much in terms of fancy decorations. The walls are mostly covered with charts or notes we've stuck up. It feels like a real workplace where things actually get done. We know the neighborhood well because we've been based here for quite a bit. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather gets bad, and that’s when we have to work double time. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and talking to customers on the phone. We don't try to sound like anything we aren't. We are just the crew in Gurgaon making sure the data moves where it needs to go. It keeps us occupied from morning until late.
