Purple Aquarium Studios

If you’re driving down the Gurgaon Palampur Road in Palam Vihar, you might spot our place. Purple Aquarium Studios isn't some giant warehouse. It’s a more modest setup where we spend our days working. The sound of bubbling water is pretty much the background noise for everything we do here. It’s kind of nice, actually, compared to the honking and traffic outside. We have various tanks set up along the walls. Some are big, some are small, and some are just for parts. There’s always a bit of a mess on the floor from water changes or moving things around. We don't really have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us elbow-deep in a tank or cleaning some glass. It’s a bit humid inside, which I guess is expected. Palam Vihar is a busy area, but our little corner feels a bit slower than the rest of the street. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing. We just like what we do and we keep at it. Sometimes people wander in just to look at the fish, and that’s fine with us. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a working studio. The lighting is a bit dim in some corners to help the plants grow. We just try to keep the fish healthy and the water clear. It’s a lot of manual work and we go home tired most nights.
