Presently Not Working

I work out of Ashok Vihar in Gurgaon, specifically over at House 621 on the second floor of 1 A Street 2. Being at Nishi Kashyap’s place, care of Gautam, makes things pretty straightforward for me. It’s a busy little pocket of the city, and the street outside is usually full of people moving around. My setup isn’t anything fancy, just a desk and a chair where I spend most of my day. If you know this part of Haryana, you know it can get pretty loud with the traffic and the local shops, but you get used to it after a while. I’ve been here for a bit now, just handling things as they come. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so I usually just stay put once I’m up here. There’s a tea stall down the road that I visit when I need a break from the screen. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but that’s just how it goes in this neighborhood. I don’t have a big team or anything, just me and occasionally someone helping out with the paperwork. People ask what the name Presently Not Working means, and honestly, it’s just how things felt when I started. It’s a quiet life mostly. I keep the windows open when the weather is decent, even if the dust from the street comes in. It feels more real that way than sitting in some sealed-up office building with fake air.
