Panditwala

At Arjun Nagar, inside Mayfield Garden at house A 90, is where we have set up Panditwala. It is a bit of a different name, but it fits what we do. We mostly help out people who are new to the area and don't know who to call for their religious needs. The office is just a room in the house where we keep track of everything. Mayfield Garden is a nice, quiet spot, which is a big change from the main roads. We spend our days answering the phone and making sure everything is ready for the next day's work. It started out small, just helping a few neighbors, but word got around. We don't have a big staff or a corporate headquarters. It’s just us sitting around a table with a few mobile phones and some registers. Sometimes it gets a bit disorganized when three things happen at once, but we always figure it out. The local tea stall guy knows us well because we order so many rounds while we work. People stop by A 90 just to say hello or to ask if we know a good time for a small ceremony at their home. We don't do much marketing or anything like that, we just rely on the people we have helped before telling their friends. It is a practical way to run things and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
