National Water Treatment Co. (I)

Our place is situated in Sector 5 and we go by National Water Treatment Co. (I). It is a bit more of a workshop feel than a regular shop. We deal with the bigger systems that people use for buildings or small factories around the area. There is always a lot of heavy equipment lying around, like big blue pressure tanks and rolls of thick industrial hose. The floors are concrete and they usually have some puddles on them because we are always testing the valves and the pumps to see if they hold the pressure. It gets quite loud in here when the bigger motors are running. We don't really get walk-in customers looking for small things. Usually, it is people who have a real problem with their water supply at a bigger site. I spend a lot of time looking at blueprints or drawing out how the pipes should connect on a piece of scrap paper. It is a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes we need three people just to move one of the treatment units onto the truck. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon and it gets really hot inside, so we usually keep the big shutter half-open to let a breeze in. We have been doing this in Sector 5 for a while now. We just focus on getting the systems built so they don't break down when they are needed. It is honest, heavy work that keeps us busy from morning till late evening.
