Our office is located in Iffco Colony, which is right in Sec 17B. If you know Gurgaon, you know how busy the area around Iffco Chowk gets at almost any time of the day. We are close enough to the main road to hear the traffic, but inside the colony, it is surprisingly quiet compared to the main highway. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much. Most of the people working here commute by the yellow line metro. It is about a ten or fifteen minute walk from the station, depending on how fast you walk and how much dust is in the air. During the monsoon season, the roads around here can get a bit messy with puddles, so we usually keep a few extra pairs of shoes in the back. There are a few small shops nearby where we grab lunch. Usually, it’s just basic stuff like parathas or sandwiches. The air conditioning is a lifesaver during the months of May and June when the heat is just too much to handle. We have been here for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The security guards at the colony gate are friendly enough and they know our faces. It is a practical spot for us because it’s central, even if the traffic during rush hour makes everyone a bit grumpy.
