Our spot is at D-78 in Ashok Vihar, right in the heart of Gurgaon. It’s a residential-looking area but there are plenty of businesses like ours tucked away in the lanes. We just call ourselves Media because that’s what we do. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything. Inside, it’s a bit cramped with all the equipment and the desks we’ve crammed in. We handle all sorts of video and print stuff for local clients. Gurgaon is always growing, and we’re just trying to keep up with the pace. The dust from the construction nearby usually settles on the windows, so we gave up on keeping them perfectly clean a long time ago. It’s a casual environment. Most of us wear jeans and t-shirts and we don't care much for titles. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We have a lot of long nights when a project is due, mostly fueled by samosas from the corner shop. It’s not a corporate lifestyle. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes to do on the weekends. We just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job without making a big fuss about it. It’s a small operation, but we’re proud of the stuff we put out from this little office.
