Jyotsna Srivastava

I’m Jyotsna Srivastava and I work from my place at Sushant Lok Phase I, E 128. It’s a quiet residential area, which makes it a nice spot for what I do. I’ve set up a small area in the house where I can meet with people and focus on my work. It’s not like going to a big office building with elevators and a lobby. You just come to the gate and walk in. I spend a lot of my time reading and researching. My desk is usually covered in papers and a few coffee mugs that I forget to take to the kitchen. I don't have a staff helping me out, so I handle the phone calls and the scheduling myself. Sometimes I'm a bit slow to answer the door if I'm in the middle of something important. The room has a big window that lets in a lot of light, which I like. I’ve lived in Sushant Lok for a while, so I know the area pretty well. Most of the people who come to see me are looking for some guidance or just a bit of clarity on things. We sit down, have a talk, and look over whatever they’ve brought with them. It’s very low-key and informal. I don’t use any complicated jargon. I just try to speak plainly about what I see and what I know. It’s a peaceful way to work, and I wouldn't really want it any other way. It's just me and my books.
