Independent Consultant

My workspace is over in Kendriya Vihar, Sector 56, right in the middle of Gurgaon. It’s a pretty standard spot in a residential area, which makes the commute very short since I live nearby. Working for yourself as an independent consultant is mostly just about staying on top of emails and making sure projects don't fall behind. I don't have a team of people doing the heavy lifting. If a client needs a report by Monday, I'm the one staying up Sunday night to finish it. The flat here is usually quiet during the day, which helps me focus when the traffic outside gets a bit loud. I’ve lived in this part of Gurgaon for some time now and decided to just set up shop here instead of renting a big office space in one of those glass towers. It’s simpler this way. I have my computer, a decent chair, and enough space for my files. There isn't much to see if you walk in, just a regular room with some books and a printer that occasionally jams. I like the independence, even if it gets a little lonely sometimes without coworkers to chat with. I usually take a break in the afternoon to grab some tea or walk around the block. It’s a plain way of working, but it fits my life. I don’t need anything more complicated than that. I just keep my head down and do the work.
