Our branch of Ibm India Pvt Ltd is located in Sector 23, right in House Number 9. It’s a bit different than working in a big glass building because it feels more like a residential area. We have a small gate and some plants near the entrance that one of the guys tries to keep alive. The rooms are divided up like a house, so we’ve turned the bigger living space into the main work area where most of us sit. It gets nice sunlight in the mornings through the front windows. We don't really have a big cafeteria or anything, so we just eat at our desks or head out to the local market nearby if we need a break. The internet can be a bit moody when it rains, but we usually manage to stay connected. There’s a regular routine here. We show up, check the emails, and start on the technical tasks. It’s a lot of sitting and typing, really. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, except for when the vegetable sellers go by with their carts. We’ve been here for some time and the neighbors know us by now. It’s a simple setup without any bells and whistles. We just focus on the projects and try to get through the queue before the day ends. Parking can be a bit tight on the street, but we make it work. It’s just us doing our jobs in a regular house in Gurgaon.
