Haryana Timber Traders

Our yard is located over on Pataudi Road in Shiv Nagar. You can't really miss it because there is usually a stack of wood sitting right near the entrance. We’ve been at 821 for years, dealing with all kinds of timber for people building houses or making furniture in the area. It smells like sawdust and old wood mostly. It’s a dusty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time moving logs around and cutting things to the sizes people ask for. There isn't much of a showroom, just the shed and the outdoor space where we keep the seasoned planks. My neighbor keeps a small shop next door so there is always someone around to talk to. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out, which makes the road a bit crowded sometimes. It’s just how business is done on this side of town. Haryana Timber Traders isn't a big corporate setup, just a local spot where you get what you need without a lot of talk. We keep a ledger on the desk to track the sales and mostly rely on people knowing we’ve been here for a long time. If the weather is bad, we have to cover everything up with tarps pretty quick. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a big load arrives and we need to get it off the truck.
