Gujrani Co

This branch of Gujrani Co is over on Rasik Lal Banerjee Lane in Howrah. It’s a narrow lane, like most of them around here, so it gets pretty crowded with rickshaws and people walking by at all hours. Our place at number 3 is where we handle most of the local logistics. It’s a bit of a dusty spot, mostly because of all the construction and traffic nearby. We don’t spend much on decorating the interior. It’s just plain walls and sturdy tables for the work we do. Being in West Bengal, the humidity is something we just deal with every day without complaining too much. We have a small crew here, mostly locals from the neighborhood. We’ve known each other for a long time, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed even when we are very busy. We don’t use any fancy software or big systems; we just keep track of things the old-fashioned way in our books. If someone needs something, they usually just stop by the lane and shout up or walk in through the front door. It’s a bit noisy with the sounds of the city right outside our door, but that’s just Howrah for you. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office or modern furniture. We just want to get through the day's tasks and head home to our families. It’s honest work in a busy part of town.
