Friends Forever

Our place is at Plot No-2 in Sarol Village, which is right near the Hippa Complex in Gurgaon. It’s an interesting spot because you have the village feel on one side and the big complexes on the other. We’ve got a bit of space here on the plot, which is nice compared to being stuck in a cramped mall. A group of us started this, and we’ve been hanging around this area for a long time. The day usually starts with cleaning up the outdoor area and getting the equipment ready. It’s not a polished environment; we have some old chairs and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually. We spend a lot of time just talking to the people who walk by from the Hippa Complex. It gets dusty being out here near the road, so there’s a lot of sweeping involved. We don’t have a big hierarchy or anything. We all just pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s fixing a broken light or handling a delivery. The atmosphere is pretty casual. Some days it’s quiet and we just sit around and drink tea while we wait for things to pick up. Other days, it’s a bit of a scramble to keep up. It’s just a local spot where we spend our time working and staying busy. We like the fact that it feels like a real part of the neighborhood rather than a store.
