Friend Cellphones is a small shop located at number 13 on Sheetla Mata Road. It’s not a very big place, just a simple storefront with a few glass counters. We mostly deal with phone repairs, screen guards, and selling second-hand handsets. The road outside is always busy with people heading towards the temple, so there is a lot of foot traffic. We usually open up around mid-morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s a lot of sitting and working with small screwdrivers and tiny screws. Sometimes we get a phone that’s been dropped in water, and we have to tell the owner it’s probably not coming back to life. We try to be honest with people about what can be fixed and what can’t. The shop gets a bit warm in the summer because we don't have a very strong fan, but we're used to it. We have a regular crowd of locals who come in to pay their bills or just to see what new covers we have in stock. It’s not a fancy corporate store with uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like neighbors. Sometimes the delivery for new stock is late, or we run out of a certain type of charging cable. That’s just part of running a small business on Sheetla Mata Road. We’ve been here for a good while and plan to stay.
