Esri India (Niit Gis Ltd.)

We are located over at Plot 223-224 in Udyog Vihar Phase 1. It’s a big industrial area, so there are always trucks and cars moving around outside. Esri India has been based here for some time now. The building is a bit older, but it serves its purpose for our GIS work. Inside, it’s mostly rows of desks with people working on maps and data. We deal with a lot of software stuff, but the office itself feels very grounded and practical. There’s a small canteen where we all gather for lunch, and the food is usually pretty decent, even if the menu stays the same most weeks. We don’t have those fancy open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s more traditional with cabins and partitions. Some of the chairs are a bit squeaky when you move. We spend our days looking at geographical information and making sure the systems are running correctly. It’s technical work, but we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. The parking lot gets full pretty early in the morning, so if you're late, you're walking a bit from the main road. We have a few plants in the corners that someone remembers to water once a week. It’s a steady place to work. We don't do much in the way of events; we just focus on the tasks at hand and get through the pile of work. Most of us have been here long enough that it feels like a second home.
