Living and working out of Kohinoor Apt in Kalkaji Extension has its own rhythm. Dharam Pal is the name on the door at A 10 69 C, up on the second floor. It’s not like those shops you see on the main street where everyone is rushing past. Here, you have to know where you are going. The stairs can be a bit much if you aren't used to them, but it’s a good spot once you’re inside. I’ve lived in Kalkaji for a long time and seen it grow into what it is today. The apartment is where everything happens, from the paperwork to the phone calls. It feels more like a home than an office, which is fine by me because it keeps things honest. We don’t have any shiny signs or big windows to show off. Just a simple space with enough room for a desk and some chairs. Neighbors often see us coming and going throughout the day. It’s a quiet block for the most part, except for when the kids are playing outside or someone is moving furniture. We handle our business without a lot of extra talk. If the fan is buzzing too loud, we just turn it off and keep going. People who come here usually heard about us from someone else in the area. It is a small world in these apartments, and we are just happy to be a part of it. The balcony gives us a little bit of fresh air when things get too crowded inside.
