We are located at A 36 in Oakwood Estate, which is in DLF II in Gurgaon, Haryana. The Department Of Science Technology is tucked away in a fairly quiet spot, which is good because we do a lot of thinking and planning here. Our office isn't full of lab coats or bubbling tubes; it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of reports on different technical projects. We spend our time looking over data and trying to see how new technology can be used around here. Gurgaon is a very modern city, so it feels right to be doing this kind of work in DLF II. The estate is well-maintained, and we have a few trees outside our window, which is a nice change from the concrete everywhere else. We aren't trying to change the world overnight; we just take things one project at a time. Sometimes the work is slow and involves a lot of reading through old files, but other times something new comes up that gets us all talking. We have a small team, and we’ve all worked together for a long time now. We just come in, have our tea, and get to work on whatever the schedule says for that day. It’s a quiet, professional place where we try to stay focused on the practical side of science and how it fits into regular life. We don't have anything fancy to show off, just a lot of work.
