In Gurgaon, we are based at House No 802 in Sector 5, Urban Estate. Davis Langdon Seah Consulting India Pvt Ltd operates out of this house, which makes for a pretty comfortable working environment. It’s a lot different than the big glass buildings you see in the newer parts of Gurgaon. Here, it’s a bit more relaxed and quiet. We use the rooms for our desks and meetings, and there’s usually plenty of space for all our folders. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we don't have to deal with the crazy traffic of the main hubs every time we step outside. Our daily life consists of reviewing construction costs and making sure projects are staying within their limits. We aren't into big marketing displays. If you saw the house from the street, you might not even realize there’s a consulting firm inside. We like it that way. It keeps things simple. Inside, it’s all business with computers, printers, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. We have our lunch together most days and talk about the work or whatever else is going on. It’s a practical way to run things without the overhead of a massive corporate office. We just focus on the numbers and the plans, making sure everything is handled correctly for the clients we support. This house has become a second home for most of the team here.
