Our workspace is right on the Gurgaon Palampur Road, specifically at Sikandarpur near MG Road 3. This area is always moving, so there is a lot of dust and noise from the construction and the traffic nearby. Our office is fairly basic because we spend a lot of our time out at different sites anyway. When we are actually here, it’s mostly to handle the paperwork or look over some drawings on the big table we built ourselves. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few calendars and some scribbled notes about upcoming deadlines. It’s a practical space, not a showroom. We have some samples of materials lying around in the corners, and sometimes it feels a bit like a warehouse, but we know where everything is. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a relief during the summer months in Gurgaon. We don't have a formal receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually says hello if someone walks in. Usually, it’s just the sound of the fans and someone typing or talking on a mobile. We’ve got a small kettle in the back for making quick tea when the day gets long. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment that matches the kind of work we do every day. We don't worry about being fancy, we just focus on getting the tasks done before the sun goes down.
