Currently Not Employed Back From Sabbatical

Life at Ansals Valley View Estate in Gurgaon is a bit different than the busier parts of the city. We are up here where the air feels a little bit clearer, even if it is still Gurgaon. Currently Not Employed Back From Sabbatical is the long name we have, which basically means I took a long break and I am just now starting to look around again. It has been a quiet time. The estate is quite large, and I spend a lot of time walking around the paths when I need to think. Being back from a sabbatical feels like waking up from a long nap. You are a bit groggy at first, but then you start to see things clearly. My neighbors are mostly families and people who have worked in the city for years. We talk in the elevators about the water supply or the new security guards. It is a very normal life. I don’t have an office or a staff. My desk is just a table near the balcony where I can see the trees. It is not a very polished way to live, but it is honest. I’m just trying to get my bearings again without rushing into anything too fast. The transition back to reality is slow, but I’m okay with that. This place gives me the space I need to figure it all out.
