Central Excise Deppt

The office is right here in Old DLF Colony, at H No C 38. If you know Gurgaon, you know how this area is. It’s not like the new high-rise parts with all the glass buildings. Here, it’s mostly older houses and narrow lanes. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The Central Excise Deppt setup isn’t fancy at all. Usually, there’s a bit of a crowd near the gate in the mornings. Inside, there are desks piled with files and the fans hum all day because the Gurgaon heat is something else. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We get a lot of visitors coming in for paperwork or just to ask questions about their files. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we just wait it out. There’s a tea stall just around the corner where everyone goes for a break. It is just a regular workplace where things move at their own pace. You see the same faces every day, from the rickshaw pullers outside to the staff bringing in lunch boxes. It feels like a small community in this part of Gurgaon. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the house number and the daily routine. People find us eventually. It’s a busy spot but it feels like home to those of us who spend ten hours a day here.
