Akash Computers is out on Sangalpura Road. If you’re driving down the main stretch, you can’t really miss us. We’ve been here for a good while, fixing desktops and trying to help people understand why their internet isn't working. The shop is basically one big room with long workbenches on either side. There are always a few towers opened up with their guts spilling out while we wait for parts to arrive. It’s not the cleanest place because there’s always dust from the cooling fans and snippets of wire on the floor. We handle a lot of school projects for the kids in the neighborhood who need things printed or their laptops cleared of viruses. It’s just me and one other guy working the benches. We don't use a lot of fancy jargon; we just tell you what’s broken and if it’s worth fixing or if you should just buy a new one. Sangalpura Road gets pretty dusty in the summer, so we’re always wiping down the monitors. We sell some used parts too, for people on a budget. Most of our tools are old but they still do the job just fine. We don't have a big neon sign or anything, just the name on the glass door. People know we’re here when they see the light on late at night. It's a practical business for a practical part of town. We just keep our heads down and work.
