Vignan Degree College

Vignan Degree College is located on Palakaluru Road in Guntur. If you know anything about Guntur you know it gets incredibly hot in the summer so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and there is enough cold water for everyone to drink. The college is a regular concrete building and is nothing that would win any awards for architecture or design. We have students coming in for their degrees in all sorts of different subjects every year. It is a very busy road outside the gates so there is always the sound of traffic and people honking their horns. Inside the walls though we try to keep things a bit more focused on the books. The benches are made of heavy wood and the floors are just plain tile that we sweep every morning. We do not have a lot of money for decorations or fancy neon signs. Most of the people working here are just trying to help the local youth get through their exams so they can find decent work. It is a very straightforward and honest place. I usually spend my time dealing with the paperwork and talking to parents who come in worried about their kids' grades or attendance. We do not use a lot of big words or have any complicated rules. We just show up and do the teaching and then go home to our families.
