St.Ann'S Degree College For Women

You can find us on Sattenapalli Road in Amaravathi, right across from Santhinekatan School. St.Ann'S Degree College For Women has been part of this community in Guntur for a while now. The college is tucked in there, specifically C/O T.Raghu, which is how most people find the entrance. It is a place where local women come to get their degrees and figure out what they want to do next with their lives. We have classrooms that get quite warm in the summer, but we keep the fans going. The students walk or take the local transport to get here every morning. It's a fairly quiet spot compared to the bigger cities, which makes it easier to focus on the books. We don't have a bunch of fancy equipment, but we have what we need to get the teaching done. The staff is mostly local folks who care about the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time talking to parents and making sure the students are actually showing up for their lectures. It's a lot of administrative work, keeping track of papers and exams and all the little details that come with running a school. We just want the women who come here to finish their studies and move on to something good. There are no big speeches here, just daily lessons and trying to keep the place running smoothly. That is how we do things every day for the students.
