SAI Bakery & Fast Foods

You can find us on the 6th Line of S.v.n.colony in Guntur. SAI Bakery & Fast Foods has been here for a while. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. We spend the whole day baking and frying snacks. The smell of fresh bread is what greets you when you walk in. Guntur is known for its heat, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for the customers. We have a few regulars who come in every single afternoon for their snacks. Kids from the neighborhood stop by after school for something sweet. We do different types of puffs and some simple cakes. My wife helps with the packaging while I handle the oven. It is a family thing. We aren't trying to be one of those big city cafes. We just want to provide something decent for the people living in the colony. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected if there’s a local party or a gathering. We don't really have a set closing time; we just stay open until the shelves are mostly empty. It’s a lot of work, and my hands are usually covered in flour by noon. We just keep doing our bit every day. It’s a quiet life, mostly, just making snacks for the neighbors and keeping the oven hot.
