Guntur Gongura Restaurant

Our restaurant is on the 7th Line in Brundavan Gardens right across from the Smart Life Gym. We have been here in Guntur for a few years now serving the local crowd. The name tells you what we are about as we use a lot of gongura in our cooking because that is what people around here love. It is a simple place with wooden tables and some basic chairs. We don't have air conditioning in the main area so it can get pretty warm when the spicy food starts hitting the tables. The kitchen is visible from some of the seats and you can hear the pans clanging all through the lunch hour. We get our vegetables from the market nearby every day to make sure things are as fresh as they can be. Some days the gongura is more sour than others and that's just how the leaves are. We don't try to hide that. Most of our customers are people who work in the offices nearby or families who don't feel like cooking at home. We serve the food on stainless steel plates and try to get it to you as fast as possible. It is a bit loud inside when it's full but that’s just part of the experience of eating out in Guntur. We are just local people making food we like to eat ourselves. The floor gets a bit slippery if someone spills water but we mop it as soon as we notice.
