Eswari Granites And Exports is right on the Prakasam College Road here in Martur. It's a busy spot with the college nearby, so there's always a lot of traffic and people moving around. We spend most of our mornings unloading the raw stone and figuring out which blocks are going to be cut next. Being in the export business means there’s a lot of extra paperwork and checking things twice before they get loaded onto the big trucks. Sometimes the rain slows us down and the yard gets muddy, which makes moving the granite a real pain. We’ve been at this for a good number of years now. Most of the guys working here have been with us since the start. We don't have a flashy showroom, just the slabs stacked up so people can see the real thing. Martur is a hot place in the summer, and the granite holds that heat, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. You see a lot of different people coming through here, some looking for a small piece for a threshold and others wanting a whole lot for a big project. We just keep our heads down and handle the stone as it comes. It's noisy work with the saws running all day, but you get used to it after the first week. We just focus on the stone and the orders.
