Innovation Stone Industry

Innovation Stone Industry is located at #7-141/8. It is more of a yard than anything else. We have been handling stone for a long time, and you learn a lot about what people want just by watching them walk through the stacks. We deal with various types of slabs, and they all have their own quirks. Some have veins that make them tricky to cut without cracking. We spend a lot of time just moving things around to make space for the new arrivals. The address is easy to find once you know the neighborhood. It is not a quiet place to work, especially when the water pumps are going and the blades are hitting the hard rock. We usually have tea together in the mid-morning when the first round of cutting is done. There is a certain way the stone looks when it is first sliced open, before the polish even goes on, that I still find interesting. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a spot where you can see the stone for what it is. The floor of the shop is always wet from the cooling water, so we all wear thick boots. It is just basic labor, really. No big secrets to it, just keeping the blades sharp and the slabs moving out the door to the customers who need them.
