We are located in the Arya Samaj Mandir Market, right on the Main Road in Surajpur. Shiv Shankar Offset Press is always a bit noisy because the machines are usually running. There is a constant smell of ink and paper in the air, which you stop noticing after the first hour. The shop is filled with stacks of paper and finished jobs waiting to be picked up. Being on the Main Road means we see a lot of traffic and people walking by. It gets pretty dusty, so we are always wiping down the equipment. We spend our days loading paper, checking the ink levels, and making sure the cuts are straight. It’s a lot of physical work and standing around the presses. Sometimes the machines act up, and we have to spend half the morning fixing a jam. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. People come in with all sorts of requests, from small cards to big posters. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s just a working print shop. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps by the time we close up. We just keep our heads down and get the printing done. It’s a straightforward trade, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the machines. The market is always busy, which keeps us on our toes throughout the day. We have a small back room where we store the extra ink canisters and spare parts.
