Amul Cement Products

Started out on Moviya Road years ago. Reti Chowk is a busy spot, always busy with trucks and people moving around. We spend most of our days here working with cement, getting our hands dirty. It’s not fancy work, but it’s what we know. The yard stays pretty cluttered with blocks and various cement items we’ve finished. Sometimes the weather makes things tough, especially when it rains and everything gets muddy around the shop. We just keep at it though. People from around the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to chat or ask about a small job they need doing for their porch or a wall. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes, figuring out the mix and making sure things set right. There’s a rhythm to it, the sound of the mixer and the shovels hitting the ground. Most mornings start early before the sun gets too hot because once midday hits, that Reti Chowk sun really beats down on the concrete. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more traffic now than there used to be. But we’re still here in the same spot, doing the same basic stuff every day. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you walk past, you'll probably see us covered in gray dust, just part of the job really. We aren't going anywhere else.
