Maa Yogani Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our place is in Nonmati village, over in the Haripur Garbana area of Godda. The late Dhaturi Mal’s family is connected to how we started. We are a group of farmers who live around here. It’s a basic setup. We don't have a lot of modern equipment, mostly we use what we have and help each other out. The weather is our biggest boss, honestly. Some years the harvest is plenty, and other years it’s a struggle. We mostly grow what people around here need. Nonmati is a small place, so news travels fast by word of mouth. We don't really do advertising or anything like that. We just focus on the crops and the livestock. Usually, you can find us in the fields from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s hard on the back, but it’s what we’ve always done. We started this company to handle the selling part a bit better. Before, everyone was just doing it on their own and it was harder to get a fair price. Now we talk to each other and try to figure things out as a group. It’s not a fancy operation, just some local people trying to make a living in Godda. We appreciate the land and try to take care of it as best we can. Every day is different, but the work remains mostly the same. We just keep our heads down and work hard. That's the way we do things here.
