Khushaalii Farmers Producer Companylimited is based out of Saidapur village in Godda. We use Jagannath Prasad Jha’s place as our main point of contact. Life in the village revolves around the harvest seasons, so that’s exactly where we spend our energy. We are a group of farmers who decided it was better to work together than alone. It’s tough being a small farmer these days. You have to worry about the seeds, the rain, and then find someone to buy the crops at a decent price. By forming this company, we help each other out with those things. It’s not a fancy setup. We meet under the shade or in the small office area to discuss what we’re going to plant next. Sometimes we argue about the best way to do things, but we always figure it out. Godda has good soil, but you have to treat it right. We share tools and advice whenever someone is struggling. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't have a website or big advertisements. Most people just know us by word of mouth in the village. We’re just trying to make sure our families have enough and the village stays productive. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty, but it’s the life we chose and we’re sticking to it. Farming is never easy, but it’s what we do.
