Srs Machine Tools

We are located over at Mohan Nagar, tucked inside the Prem Optical Works building. It is right opposite the old Dass Factory in the Rajendra Nagar industrial area. At Srs Machine Tools, the air usually smells like heavy machine oil and cold metal. It is a gritty place, but that is just the nature of working with tools and hardware. The machines can be quite loud when they are all running at the same time. My boots are usually covered in metal dust by the time I head home in the evening. It is not a quiet neighborhood at all. You have the constant sound of trucks and the clanging from other workshops nearby all day long. We have a few workbenches that have seen better days, all scratched up and dark with age. We do not spend money on fancy decorations because they would just get dirty within a week anyway. Most of our day is spent looking at blueprints or fixing a lathe that decided to stop working for no reason. It can get incredibly hot in the summer, even with the big industrial fans blowing. We take our breaks sitting on plastic stools near the entrance just to get a bit of a breeze from the alley. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. We do not have a marketing department. If someone needs a tool, they find us. (243 words)
